Autumn 2025 Dance Classes for Kids & Teens in London and Kent
We’re thrilled to welcome new and returning students to Team Kaizen Dance Academy’s Autumn 2025 Term! Our street dance classes are more than just lessons — they’re a place where children and teens can develop confidence, creativity, and teamwork in a fun, supportive environment.

📅 Autumn 2025 Term Dates
- London Classes: Tuesday 9th September – Thursday 4th December 2025
- Gravesend Classes: Saturday 13th September – Saturday 6th December 2025
- Rainham Classes: Friday 12th September – Friday 5th December 2025
Each term ends with an End-of-Term Display, giving students the chance to perform and celebrate their progress with friends and family.

This is a 12-week term, finishing with an End-of-Term Display, where students showcase everything they’ve learned to family and friends.

👉 New starters are welcome! We offer taster sessions so children can try a class before committing to the term.

Serving families from Dulwich, Forest Hill, Herne Hill, Brixton, and Peckham, our London base has been running for many years and is a hub of creativity and community.

Classes at JAGS Sports Club:
- Kriss Kross (7–10 yrs) – Tuesdays, 6pm–7pm (1 hour)
- Roger Rabbit (11–17 yrs) – Thursdays, 6pm–8pm (2 hours)
Parking: Limited at the venue, but plenty of street parking nearby.

Our Gravesend campus has been a long-standing home for TKDA, attracting students from Gravesend, Northfleet, Meopham, Medway, and Dartford. Parents love the venue’s spacious facilities and free on-site parking.

- Kid N Play (5–6 yrs) – Saturdays, 9.45am–10.30am (45 minutes)
- Happy Feet (7–10 yrs) – Saturdays, 10.30am–11.30am (1 hour)
- Party Machine (11–13 yrs) – Saturdays, 11.30am–1.30pm (2 hours)
- Tone Wop (14–17 yrs) – Saturdays, 11.30am–1.30pm (2 hours)

Our newest branch in Rainham is growing rapidly, welcoming students from Rainham, Gillingham, Medway, Sittingbourne, and surrounding areas. These sessions are the perfect way for young dancers to start their journey.

- Prep Class (7–10 yrs) – Fridays, 6pm–7pm (1 hour)

Breaking Into the Olympics

Breaking is about to make a major leap onto the world stage in the most prestigious way possible: the Olympics! For those who love dance, hip-hop, or simply pushing the limits of what’s possible with the human body, this is huge news. Let’s break down (pun intended) how this street dance from the Bronx is about to electrify the globe.

The Origins of Breaking

Breaking began in the 1970s in the Bronx, New York, as part of the vibrant culture of hip-hop that was emerging at the time. It was a way for young people to express themselves, channel their energy, and connect with their community. The dance form is characterized by its athletic moves, such as spins, flips, and freezes, combined with intricate footwork and a deep connection to the beat of the music. Breaking quickly spread from the streets of New York to become a global phenomenon, influencing everything from fashion to music to pop culture.

What started as a way for marginalized youth to tell their stories through movement has now grown into a worldwide movement with competitions in almost every country. But despite its global reach and deep cultural significance, breaking has always maintained its underground roots—until now.

New Rainham Campus in 2024

TKDA London Branch Opens Thursday 9th June

Next week will be the launch of our London branch of the Team Kaizen Dance Academy, we’ll be launching with two new classes, the ‘Kriss Kross’ class and the ‘Roger Rabbit’ class. We’ll be offering FREE TASTER sessions to anyone who signs up before July 16.

The classes for the new branch will be taking place at JAGS Sports Club, located on red post hill, the sports club is a short walk from North Dulwich train station and various bus stops. The sports club also has a car park for members granting easy access.

Students of the new branch will learn an array of Street Dance Styles including Hip Hop, House, Popping, Locking and Breaking. As well as learning these popular styles students will also learn about the history, techniques and foundations of the styles to help develop their craft.

There are still some spaces available for both classes, to get booked in for the free taster sessions we need to know:

– Any medical conditions / allergies the student has

Open Street Dance Classes In February

On Wednesday 17th February we will be holding some dance sessions that are open to the public. So even if you are not a member of the Academy you can come down and experience what it’s like to learn from the instructors at Team Kaizen.

In these street dance classes students will learn good foundational skills in hip hop, popping and breaking. You’ll also be able to learn a routine during the lesson that uses your new skills and there’ll be something for everyone.

Even if you’ve never taken any hip hop dancing classes before, you can come and join us and pick up some new moves. This is open to all levels and you don’t need any previous experience.

This is a perfect activity for the February half term that’s great fun and perfect for any children living in Gravesend, Higham, Northfleet or nearby.
